Mandy Brown is an active teacher and performer in the Washington, D.C., metro area. She teaches a variety of musical genres including classical, musical theater, pop, jazz, and gospel. In addition to teaching, Ms. Brown has an active operatic career. Recent companies she has worked with include Chautauqua Opera, the Friendship Heights Symphonette, the Maryland Opera Studio, and Opera Kansas. Her vocal music background includes 14 years of performing experience and six years teaching experience. Ms. Brown also has nine years experience with both pedal and lever harp and has performed with the Wichita State Symphony. Her students have been accepted into college music programs, specialized jazz/pop music schools, and have been cast in several musical theater productions. Ms. Brown earned her BM in Vocal Performance from Wichita State University and her MM in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland. Learn more at
