Children's Music Classes
We offer two classes for children from birth - four years, both led by our percussion teacher Lindy Campbell.
Pre-School Instrument Class
Do you have a child who's too young for private lessons, but is excited to learn more about music? This half-hour class is a great way to introduce children ages 3 1/2-5 to musical instruments. Students will spend half the 30 minute class learning the ukulele, starting with strum patterns and progressing to simple chords. The second half of the class is percussion. Students will learn dynamics, music listening skills, and start basic note reading in a fun, relaxed environment.
Students must have completed at least 6 months of preschool (not daycare) before participating in this class. The class will meet every Thursday from 1:30-2:00pm, or Saturday from 12:00 to 12:30pm. The cost is $200.00 for six sessions, and can be prorated for students joining late. A colorful Makala ukulele with carrying case is included in the cost of the class. If students already own a ukulele, the cost is $150. If you are registering late or already own a ukulele, please select "offline payment" as your payment method. We will take check, cash, or credit card at the first session.
