Matthew is our store manager. Matthew, a graduate from the Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts in 2001, has owned his own recording studio and has over ten years’ experience doing live sound in venues from the Brass Monkey, to Fletchers and the Ottobar. He has worked as personal assistant to drummer Bill Stevenson (All, Descendants, Black Flag) and engineered at Stevenson’s recording studio, The Blasting Room, where he worked on albums from Love Equals Death (Fat Wreckchords) and Rise Against (Fat Wreckchords). Matthew plays piano and guitar, and has opened for bands from the Mad Caddies, to Rahzel of the Roots, and Run DMC. Outside of music, Matthew is passionate about Science and Philosophy and is pursuing a teaching degree in the sciences.
   
DaveN Dave Nuttycombe has been part of the D.C. music scene since the Nixon administration. In fact, he played a gig for CREEP, the Committee to Re-Elect the President, for which his band had to learn to play “Nixon’s the One,” the campaign theme song. Dave has also shared stages with Doug Clark & the Hot Nuts, Otis Day & the Nights, and Weird Al Yankovic. As manager of Washington City Paper’s music-centric music site, inDC, Dave interviewed hundreds of bands, produced benefit concerts, and promoted the local music scene. Dave was also a writer/producer for the award-winning PBS documentary, “The Bayou: DC’s Killer Joint,” which profiled the 45-year history of the legendary Georgetown nightclub. He plays vintage Slingerland drums, any genre except opera.
mike looking sharp crop Mike is a soul-singer and songwriter who appreciates all styles and genres of music. His other instruments include clarinet, hand drums, and world percussion. Mike studied psychology at Fayetteville State University. When not at Middle C, he also works as a counselor for inner city youth, encouraging his counselees to use music and arts as a solution to their problems.

 Kevin is currently a junior at American University studying Business and Entertainment, with a focus in Audio Technology. He has studied Jazz Guitar for more than 10 years and currently DJs in many of D.C.'s nightclubs and music venues. In his free time, he enjoys listening to hiphop, deep house, and alternative rock.

Mozart is our store dog. He is a cockapoo. His interests include saying hi to customers, walks, and biscuits.  Here he is modeling one of our musical dog collars.
