Second Annual Middle C Music Instrument Petting Zoo!

We are excited to announce an 8-week Beginning Ukulele Class on Sundays from 4-5pm starting September 9th. Never picked up a uke before but want to play?  You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to learn!  Explore the basics and learn lots of tunes on this fun instrument (you’ll be playing four songs before you leave the first class!) with ukulele artist and American University professor Alicia Kopfstein-Penk.  The uke is a great accompaniment to singing, but you can just strum if you prefer (or hum along!).  The fee is $320 and the group will be small so you’ll get individual attention. The class will culminate in a group performance.

Mark Noone, our Wammie Hall of Fame teacher and Rock Band director, will conduct an Adult Rock Band Class. The class will meet and run for ten weeks, with a performance after the last class. The fee is $400 and all instruments are welcome. All interested musicians should call Middle C for details. 202/244-7326.

MIDDLE C MUSIC PRESENTS

THE EIGHTH ANNUAL SUMMER

ROCK BAND CAMP 

This year, send your child to a different kind of summer camp! Middle C's Rock Band

Camp will be led by WAMMIE Hall of Famer, former Slickee Boy, and all-around

Washington rock legend, Mark Noone. Campers will learn to play in an ensemble,

solo on their instruments, write tunes and lyrics, put their own touches on rock

classics, and much more. 

The camp meets Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, culminating in a concert for friends and family on Friday evening at 6:00pm. All participants receive a t-shirt and a DVD of their performance. A light lunch is provided for the campers.

Anyone age 10-15 can participate and any and all instruments are welcome. Students can participate in any number of sessions. Beginners on guitar are welcome to participate - some experience is needed for all other instruments.

Session One: July 8-12, 2013 ∙ Session Two: 15-19

Session Three: July 22-26
