Middle C Music now offers weekly lessons in your home! Lessons are available for students ages 6+ and for a myriad of instruments. For a full list, see our At-Home Teacher page.
Scheduling and Billing
Lessons must be scheduled for a minimum of 60 minutes. This requirement is in the interest of our teachers' schedules.
Lessons cost $100 per 60-min lesson.
Lessons are billed at the end of the month, at which point you will be sent an invoice. If invoices are not paid within (7) days of receipt, a $20 late fee will be applied to your account.
Attendance and Rescheduling
If you cancel 48 hours or more before your lesson time you will not be charged for that lesson.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before your lesson time you will be charged for that lesson.
Students will not be charged for lessons that would normally have occurred on these holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why am I charged for a lesson if I cancel with less than 48 hours notice?
A: Think of signing up for lessons as a weekly commitment to your teacher. When you cancel your lesson, your teacher needs to reconfigure their schedule to accommodate the gap. As such, you are charged for that time commitment to your teacher.
Q: What if my student misses a lesson because they are sick?
A: If you must cancel a lesson due to an illness, the 48-hour cancellation rule still applies (see above). However, we do realize that illnesses happen at inconvenient and unpredictable times. With that in mind, please call or email and let us know about the absence as soon as you can and we will do our best to work with you to make sure a suitable arrangement can be reached.
